Archaeology is the study of human history through the excavation of sites and the discovery and analysis of material culture and other physical remains. In this program, students will gain an introduction and understanding of archaeological thought processes with a mix of classroom activities and hands-on experiences. Students will create a field journal to record their findings, practice artifact drawing and uncover information about coastal New England’s land and maritime past through a simulated dig experience to explore our past in a fun, creative, and tangible way.
